- What was the most memorable/impressive experience?
- The most memorable experience is that my Rwandan friend stole money from my Japanese friend. Even though they were good friends and trusted each other, my Rwandan friend did that because he needed money to support his family. He had a job but the salary was not enough. I was shocked not because he had committed a crime but because he had not had any other options to protect his family and how lack of money had changed his kind nature. I faced the reality of developing countries, and I thought I would like to give them much more options for their lives. This experience made me decide my career and think about how much my life has been blessed.

- What skill did you gain the most (academically or socially)?
- A skill I gained the most in Rwanda is to communicate with people accurately beyond language barriers. When I stayed in Canada, what I was trying to was how to speak English fluently because everyone spoke English really well. However, in Rwanda, people didn't know English well, so I had to think how I could tell my opinion concisely with easy English to communicate with them accurately. I learned the core of communication is not how well I speak the language, but how I make myself understood.

- What was your proudest accomplishment during your stay?
- My biggest accomplishment was to have survived my Rwandan life safely. In Rwanda, power outages and water stoppage happened almost every day but I enjoyed these situations. I also didn't get a cold even once. This experience gave me the confidence that I will be able to survive in anywhere.
