What was the most crucial thing in preparation before coming to Japan?

I think a credit card or debut card which can be used in Japan is requisite. The courage and determination to challenge the new life are also important.
What are you putting your most effort into right now?

I am studying English for the TOEIC Test in March now.
I am also working as a waitress in an Italian restaurant.
What do you want to try in the rest of your stay?

I want to read more works of Japanese literature although there are a lot of things that I can't understand currently. And I want to travel around Japan by myself in the rest of my stay here.
