I research the interaction between educators and students where learning strategies are actively practiced and used in class. Students with higher level learning strategies tend to perform at higher levels in a second language.

With my research theme in mind, I practice creating an inclusive classroom environment in which students feel comfortable and free to participate actively. Given the natural affective barrier that ordinary L2 students experience, I think it is important to build rapport and scale materials, curriculum and lessons when and as needed.
