My research focuses on the translation and international distribution of Japanese films. Specifically, I have examined socio-cultural influences on the subtitling process and strategies for effectively conveying the nuances of Japanese dialogue in English subtitles. Currently, I am exploring ways to expand the global reach of Japanese cinema.
