人間文化科学専攻 英語文学文化分野

英語文学文化分野においては、英語を媒体とした言語文化の諸形態を文学文化・言語学・教育・翻訳通訳研究の側面から考究し、その専門的知識を教授することで、研究者を含む高度専門職業人を目指す学生に必要な専門的学力の涵養を目的としています。本研究分野は、人間の言語活動の所産を解明する実力と優れた英語運用能力を、実践的な形で社会に還元する人材を養成しています。

教育課程の特色

英語文学文化、英語学、英語教育学、翻訳通訳学といった学問領域において、基礎的な知識の講述とともに具体的な言語資料の読解・分析を主とする「基礎科目」と、発展的演習を主とする「専門科目」を体系的に設け、基本的ディシプリンの涵養を目指します。
上記の教育研究をより実践的に行えるよう、専攻共通科目や他分野を幅広く履修することが可能です。

基礎科目

英語文学文化研究では英米を中心とした英語圏の多様な文学や文化を扱い、英語学領域においては言語構造と言語運用をさまざまな角度から扱います。さらに、英語教育学では理論に基づいた実践、翻訳通訳学では学際的な理論研究が可能です。こうした科目配置は、それぞれの専門性に十分配慮し、英語による修士論文執筆に向けたディシプリンの育成を目指すものです。

専門科目

英語文学文化領域、英語学、英語教育、翻訳通訳学に対応した演習科目を設けています。また、英語論文執筆に関する専門的な指導を行う「特別演習（Academic English Writing）Ⅰ、Ⅱ」を必修として設置し、修士論文へ向けての具体的実践的な英語論文執筆能力の養成を図っています。
